Veterinary Officer Required at Guru Mug

Our meat industry client needs Vet.Officers for its slaughterhouse in Karachi.
The key responsibilities include:
- Can conduct animal inspections, carcass inspections
- Coordinate with microbiologists/lab staff for any testings required for verification.
- Coordinate with Government of Pakistan Quarantine department for inspection of shipments and related regulatory matters.
- Conduct risk assessments / disease / defects profiling

Standard facilities including transportation, medical insurance would be provided. Lodging facilities can also be provided for outstation candidates

Desired experience
2 years preferably in red meat industry

Studies
DVM

Minimum requirements
DVM from an HEC recognized university
PVMC registration
Red meat industry experience

Desired requirements
Can perform post and ante mortem animal examinations
Can identify and differentiate between different animal diseases especially relevant to Pakistan.

Job Description

Job responsibilities:

·         To contribute to provide technical assistance in the field to ensure the smooth selection of livestock borrowers.

·         To build the capacity of stakeholders mainly Livestock farmers etc

·         After the disbursement of loan to ensure that the borrower use the loan for the purpose he has described and mentioned in the loan application.

·         Work for the women empowerment.

·         Take proper measures for the treatment and for the prevention of disease to ensure the safety of the Livestock of the community.

·         Tagging and identification of the animals for the insurance purpose.

·         To assist the staff of the concerned branches in Livestock matters.

·         To contribute in the various Livestock project management and to solve any livestock issues.

·         To conduct regular field visits in the proper loan management of the various livestock schemes.

·         To deliver informal sessions and trainings for the Livestock farmers to ensure the food safety standards.

·         Plan all related activities and report progress on weekly monthly and quarterly basis.

Community Mobilizer	03 Female	To mobilize and facilitate community to participate in the planning and implementation of the project and motivating them toward self-reliance.	·         Intermediate or Bachelors in Social Sciences.·         3 to 4 year experience of community mobilization. ·         Good communication skills in local languages preferably in Sindhi
Finance Assistant	1 (Male/Female)	To assist Finance Officer by providing financial statement of the project for the defined period along with verified vouchers, supporting and bank reconciliation statements to generate financial reports for the timely submission of these reports to respected partner and Finance Department of PVDP.	·         B. Com/Diploma course in accountancy ·         2 to 3 year experience of working at similar position in non-profit organization.
