We are looking for an exceptional veterinarian to work in our leading hospital in Singapore. The practice is equipped to a very high standard and attracts clients from all over south east Asia. Open heart surgery for chordae tendineae rupture and mitral valve disease is carried out here.
The person we are looking for needs to have an interest and ability in surgery, for example, be able to undertake TTAs as a matter of routine, and preferably have some other experience such as spinal surgery and/or total hip replacement and/or phaecoemulsification and willing to take on other soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures that they might have not encountered before in a methodical and logical way. They will be given extensive on the job training by senior veterinarians.
As well as these advanced skills, the successful applicant will also need to relate well to clients, with care and compassion, as well as promote best practice within the hospital, and help develop the practice to the next level.
We are not so much interested in post graduate qualifications as a proven practical ability, enthusiasm and surgical dexterity.
The post is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to develop their skills, career and financial base; the salary will be in line with the revenue generated by the applicant, and will probably comfortably exceed that being offered in other countries for a similar post.
Singapore is a very pleasant place to live, sometimes described as the Switzerland of south east Asia, it is extremely safe, affluent, and multicultural. It is also a transport hub, and the rest of South East Asia is a short plane trip away.
